Roboterjazz ist das Projekt von Karl F. Gerber und Christoph Reiserer. Sie entwickeln (jede für sich, aber auch in Kommunikation bei Entwicklung und Performance) Systeme für akustische Klangerzeugung. Dabei schaffen  sie Autoren-Instrumente, bei denen alles von Software über Hardware bis zur Komposition und Performance gesamthaft gestaltet wird. Diese Ganzheitlichkeit  hat massiven Einfluss auf den Workflow des Musikmachens. Begriffe wie Notation, Kompositionsprozess, Inszenierung, Notation, Struktur, Visualisierung, Präsentation, Improvisation, Dokumentation verändern sich oder werden ersetzt. Ab 2018 nennen sie es Roboterjazz. Für interaktive Projekte stösst die Flötistin und Saxophonistin Karina Erhard dazu.

Anders als bei "dekorativer Klangkunst" handelt es sich hier um einen Systemansatz, der über das Sammeln und Bearbeiten gefundener Klänge (oder Klangerzeuger) hinaus geht.
