Programmtext Gerber/Erhard 9/22 zur Aufführung im Schwere Reiter
Limit II entstand aufgrund geänderter Stimmung der Zither als Version für Piccolo.
Im Kompositionsprozess wurde zuerst das DDR-Instrument aktiviert (Stimmung, Präparierung, Automatisierung der Hämmer). Auf dieser Basis selektierte Karl Gerber nach Gehör algorithmisch erzeugte komplexe Patterns. Diese wurden in einem Ablaufdiagramm komponiert. Die Flötenstimmen entwickelte Karina Erhard nach Analyse der Aufnahme vom Zitherautomaten. Bedenkt man, dass der Komponist auch den „Zither-Roboter“ geschaffen hat, so entgrenzen sich die Rollen von Instrumentenbauer, Komponist:in, Interpret:in und Videograph allmählich. Der Automat ist im Konzert gegenwärtig als Video-Zuspielung.

Limit II was created due to changed tuning of the zither as a version for piccolo.
In the composition process, the GDR instrument was first activated (tuning, preparation, automation of the hammers). On this basis Karl Gerber selected algorithmically generated complex patterns
by ear. These were composed in a flow chart. Karina Erhard developed the flute parts after analyzing the recording from the zither automat. Considering that the composer also created the "zither
robot", the roles of instrument maker, composer:in, performer:in and videographer gradually dissolve. The automaton is present in the concert as a video feed.
